The Mushroom Hunt series is an ode to ones younger self and celebrates the innocence and curiosity of childhood. The journey to adulthood brings along routines, habits and responsibilities, making it hard to slow down and revisit ones imagination most days. While creating this work, my mind would dive deep into reasoning why I am or any of us for that matter are the adults we are today, which in retrospect led me to challenge what officially makes someone a “grown up” and why society pushes us along to do it so quickly. While looking at these works, I challenge you to revisit your younger self, daydream and just… be.
