Alex is a self-taught artist residing in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from New Mexico, she moved to New York City to pursue a creative career after graduating from New Mexico State University. 

Always influenced by nature and its ability to spark wonder, her use of wax challenges the states of matter by attempting to freeze a liquid moment in time. Her background in dance and curious perception of the world heavily influence her works movement and composition.

She began painting after moving to New York as a form of self-expression and meditation to escape the nonstop energy of the city. All work is created in her studio in Brooklyn.
